Picture this...

Instead of kennels, each hound will have a room with all the creature comforts to prepare them for life in their forever home.  There will have endless access to enrichment, big play areas and free running fields.  The Centre would have behaviour assessment and socialisation rooms, meet and greet areas for people to bond with their new family member, a welcoming reception and shop, an onsite veterinary surgery and physiotherapy and hydrotherapy studio.  All of which not only supports the hounds in care, but those that have been rehomed and beyond.  We would love to be in a financial position to offer people who may be struggling, discounted veterinary services so they don’t have to surrender their pets and establish a pet food bank to support them further.

We’d promote responsible pet ownership in schools and have a portion of the land set aside for conservation.  We would hold events to plant trees, make insect hotels and put up bird and bat boxes. 

If recent years, with Covid and the financial crisis, have shown us anything, it's to make sure the charity can suppport itself through hard times...So beyond having the most fulfilling rehoming kennels, the site would offer doggy day care and holiday boarding, amongst other services to ensure the charities future.

 That is just the tip of the iceberg.  It’s a big dream, possibly an unachievable dream, but it’s our dream, nonetheless. 

But to reach this goal, while it is likely many many many years in the future, we want to start saving now so that one day we can be at the forefront of rehoming, setting the example of first-class animal welfare while also being kind to the environment.
